Mileage Credit Requests Made Easy

Sometimes it’s not until you’ve unpacked your bags that you remember the miles. Instead of leaving them behind, log in to aa.com/aadvantage and select “Request Mileage Credit.” It’s the easiest way to get credit for past mileage transactions.

Miles should post automatically to your account within 15 days of flight activity, so be sure you've allowed enough time before you request credit. Of course, if you did not provide your AAdvantage number, now you can.

Airline Credit
New! In addition to applying for credit online for American Airlines, American Eagle, and AmericanConnection flights, you can also request mileage credit for travel on British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, LAN Airlines, LAN Argentina, LAN Ecuador, LAN Peru, Mexicana, Qantas Airways, TAM (including TAM Mercosur), and Turkish Airlines flights. Have your ticket receipt or ticket number handy (the form includes tips on finding your ticket number).

Save time by first checking to see if your travel is eligible for mileage credit. Each participating carrier has a page on the AA.com® Web site (select “Partners and Mileage Programs/Airlines”). On each airline page is a list of eligible booking codes for you to compare with your ticket for eligibility. For airlines that are not listed on the Mileage Credit online form, select that airline’s “Missing Mileage Credit” link and follow the instructions.

Non-Airline Credit
To apply for credit on non-airline transactions such as hotel stays and car rentals, it is best to contact that company directly if you don’t see the miles in your AAdvantage account within 30-60 days. From the “Request Mileage Credit” link, select “Non-Air Mileage Credit.” Most partners also provide an email address on their individual Web page, if you would rather apply by that method.

It’s important to us that your eligible AAdvantage miles find their way into your account, so don’t leave them stranded! As always, we are here to help you to get the most out of your membership.
