More benefits in 2025 and beyond
Life is better as an AAdvantage® member and you’ll have more benefits to enjoy than ever in 2025. We’re excited to help your loyalty go further across your entire travel journey. Experience the best in travel with benefits and rewards in the air with American and on the road with Avis – and now during your hotel stays with Hyatt too.
When making plans for the year ahead, rest assured the Loyalty Points needed to reach AAdvantage® status and Loyalty Point Rewards will stay the same.
You’ll have more reward choices at these Loyalty Point Reward levels:
- 15,000: A collectible luggage tag* personalized with your name
- 100,000 and above: World of Hyatt status and Free Night Awards
- 175,000 and above: Support sustainable aviation fuel that can reduce carbon emissions compared to conventional jet fuel**
With our new sustainable fuel choice, carbon offsets will no longer be a Loyalty Point Reward choice in the 2025 membership year.

Keep in mind you can still unlock status with Avis at select Loyalty Point Reward levels to enjoy benefits on the road too.

**On a lifecycle basis
Create your preferred travel experience with Enhance with Miles. Once you qualify for status, you have the opportunity to redeem miles for exclusive benefits. In 2025, you’ll have new options available:
- AAdvantage Gold® status and above: World of Hyatt Category 1-4 Free Night Award up to 4 times during the AAdvantage® status membership year.
- AAdvantage Platinum Pro® status and above: World of Hyatt Category 1-7 Free Night Award up to 4 times during the AAdvantage® status membership year.
Plus, you'll continue to have these existing Enhance with Miles opportunities:
- A higher AAdvantage® status for a day
- Gifting status to another member for a day
- Flagship® First Dining Passes to enjoy an elevated sit-down dining experience inside the Flagship® Lounge.
Enjoy higher status with select Million Miler™ levels. To reward the loyalty of our most frequent fliers, we’re adding new lifetime status levels starting March 1, 2025:
- Fly 4 million miles for lifetime* AAdvantage Platinum Pro® status
- Fly 5 million miles for lifetime* AAdvantage Executive Platinum® status
If you already reached 4 or 5 million miles, you'll have your new status on or around March 1, 2025.
*For the life of the AAdvantage Platinum Pro® or AAdvantage Executive Platinum® programs.
Now you have more time to use systemwide upgrades and can manage them online.
More time to use systemwide upgrades
Starting March 1, 2025, systemwide upgrades will be valid through the status membership year, which begins when you reach status and lasts through March 31 of the following full year. This means you'll have more time to use your systemwide upgrades.
For Loyalty Point Reward choices
The sooner you choose a systemwide upgrade as a reward, the longer you have to use it.
For example: If you unlock a Loyalty Point Reward on March 1, 2025, and choose a systemwide upgrade anytime between March 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, that systemwide upgrade will remain valid until March 31, 2027.
For Million Miler™ status holders
Once you earn 2 Million Miler™ status or higher, you can use your systemwide upgrades from the time you earn them through the status membership year.
For example: Systemwide upgrades will be valid through March 31, 2027 if you earn them from reaching 2 Million Miler™ status or higher between March 1, 2025 and February 28, 2026.
Existing systemwide upgrades
In early 2025, we’ll extend any systemwide upgrades you earned during the 2024 status qualification year (between March 1, 2024 and February 28, 2025). Any systemwide upgrades you earn as a Loyalty Point Reward or through Million Miler™ status during that time frame will now become valid through March 31, 2026.
Easier to use online
AAdvantage® status members can now request and confirm systemwide upgrades on aa.com and the American app.
New ways to use miles
In 2025, AAdvantage® members will be able to use miles for:
- Inflight food and drink
- AAdvantage Cruises™ sailings
Plus, continue enjoying the new ways to use miles we introduced in 2024:
- AAdvantage Events™ tickets
- AAdvantage Cars™ rentals
- Inflight Wi-Fi
More with oneworld® and partner airlines
We're bringing you the best of travel around the globe with oneworld® and partner airlines.
oneworld® airlines
You can already use your miles to upgrade on Qantas, with more oneworld® airlines to come.
In 2025, you can earn and use AAdvantage® miles and enjoy more status benefits with our future oneworld® airlines:
- Fiji Airways
- Oman Air
Aer Lingus
Today you can enjoy more benefits when you fly on Aer Lingus as an AAdvantage® status member:
- Priority boarding, check-in and security
- Lounge access
- Free checked bags
You can keep earning AAdvantage® miles and Loyalty Points when you fly on Aer Lingus. Later on, you'll be able to use your miles for flights.
JetSMART
Today you can earn AAdvantage® miles and Loyalty Points when flying with JetSMART, and soon you’ll be able to use your miles on flights.
Enjoy World of Hyatt benefits and rewards
You can unlock rewarding travel experiences not only in the skies, but also on the ground with World of Hyatt.
Starting in 2025, link your World of Hyatt and AAdvantage® accounts to enjoy:
- New Loyalty Point Rewards: Unlock World of Hyatt status and Free Night Awards at several levels.
- Enhance with Miles opportunities: Redeem miles for World of Hyatt Free Night Awards.
Update for linked status members
With our relationship's expansion, the ability for linked status members to earn AAdvantage® miles and Hyatt Bonus Points at the same time will be ending soon.
Linked status members continue to earn both AAdvantage® miles and Hyatt Bonus Points on:
- Qualifying Hyatt stays completed by December 31, 2024
- Eligible flights departing on or before December 31, 2024
In 2025, you can still choose to earn AAdvantage® miles on Hyatt stays and convert World of Hyatt points to miles. Plus, Hyatt status members can unlock travel rewards on American as part of the World of Hyatt loyalty program.
Starting in March 2025, you can unlock World of Hyatt Discoverist status at the 100,000 Loyalty Point Reward level. As you unlock higher Loyalty Point Rewards, you can choose World of Hyatt Explorist status or Free Night Awards as your reward choice.
