Paper Tickets
We have a few different types of paper tickets. Please select your type of ticket below:
Ticket Purchased at Airport or City Ticket Office
Ticket Booklet Received by Mail from American Airlines
Red Carbon Copy Ticket Issued by Travel Agencies

Ticket Purchased at an Airport or City Ticket Office
On a paper ticket, the airline code and ticket number is located at the bottom center of the ticket. For the example below, you would enter 2150030834 in the ticket number box. The 001 is already provided to the left of the box if American Airlines is selected as the airline flown. Enter the 3-digit airline code preceding the ticket number if any other airline is selected. The 0 at the end is for internal use only.

Ticket Booklet Received in the Mail from American Airlines
On booklet tickets, the airline code and ticket number is located at the bottom center of the ticket. In the example below, you would enter 2125001646 in the ticket number box. The 001 is already provided to the left of the box if American Airlines is selected as the airline flown. Enter the 3-digit airline code preceding the ticket number if any other airline is selected. The 2 at the end is for internal use only.

Red Carbon Copy Ticket Issued by Travel Agencies
On a carbon copy ticket, the airline code and ticket number is located in the upper right corner of the ticket. In this example, you would enter 4481640297 in the ticket number box. The 001 is already provided to the left of the box if American Airlines is selected as the airline flown. Enter the 3-digit airline code preceding the ticket number if any other airline is selected.


E-Tickets
We have several different types of electronic ticket receipts. Please select your type of ticket below:
Receipt from Airport or City Ticket Office

Receipt Received by Email

Receipt from Airport or City Ticket Office
On an e-ticket receipt, the airline code and ticket number is located at the bottom center of the receipt. In this example, you would enter 2150030834 in the ticket number box. The 001 is already provided to the left of the box if American Airlines is selected as the airline flown. Enter the 3-digit airline code preceding the ticket number if any other airline is selected. The 4 at the end is for internal use only.

Receipt Received in the Mail
On a receipt you receive in the mail, the airline code and ticket number is located in the middle of the page. In this example, you would enter 2100001808 in the ticket number box if American Airlines is selected as the airline flown. Enter the 3-digit airline code preceding the ticket number if any other airline is selected.

Receipt Received by Fax
On a fax receipt, the airline code and ticket number is located in the middle of the page. In this example, you would enter 2100075657 in the ticket number box. The 001 is already provided to the left of the the box if American Airlines is selected as the airline flown. Enter the 3-digit airline code preceding the ticket number if any other airline is selected.

On an email receipt, the airline code and ticket number is located in the middle of the page. In this example, you would enter 2100067917 in the ticket number box if American Airlines is selected as the airline flown. Enter the 3-digit airline code preceding the ticket number if any other airline is selected. The 001 is already provided to the left of the box.
